4th class have been learning about the life cycle of the frog and have some tadpoles in their classrooms.
It is a little known fact that teachers have a special licence to remove frogspawn from ponds to watch the life cycle of the frog in classrooms. Our jelly spawn arrived three weeks ago and the tadpoles have hatched out in a large plastic container with some stones and sand at the bottom.
The tadpoles now have big heads and long tails and are feeding on chopped lettuce and fish food. We are now looking out for their legs beginning to grow.
