St. Patrick’s N.S. is part of the Department of Education’s hot school meals programme. This means that a nutritious hot school lunch is provided to every student at every lunch break. The Lunch Bag is our current school provider.
Parents order food for their children via an app which is available on their phone. Meals are prepared each morning by Bernie and are distributed to every classroom just before lunch break in insulated boxes. Spare lunches are left in the staffroom to avoid food waste.
Students are provided with plastic boxes and empty packaging or leftover dinners go into them and are taken home each day. We ask that the box is cleaned and that a snack for the small break can go into the box for the next day.
