Congratulations to Slane Ladies gaelic football team who won their county final against St. Ultan’s last weekend. It was a very close match, with Slane winning by one point at the finish. Many of the players for Slane are past pupils of the school and we were delighted to welcome them into our school to celebrate with them. Aoife Mooney spoke really well to the pupils about the nerves before the final, the excitement of winning and had advice for all the pupils on working hard, enjoying training and practising skills, and enjoying playing with your friends, starting in primary school. John O’Malley also thanked the staff of St. Patrick’s National School for coaching children down the years. The squad high fived the pupils on their way back to their classes.
