Grandparent's Day 2025

Each year, we have a huge amount of grandparents visiting our school, as part of Catholic Schools' Week and it was no different in 2025. Grandparents are so important in students' lives and is great to celebrate the role they play by inviting them to share stories about their school times and to show them how school operates today.

On the Tuesday beforehand, a discussion took place at assembly to remember grandparents who could not make it to school and also to remember grandparents who are not with us anymore.

On the day itself, last Friday, our Parents' Association had a wonderful spread of tea, coffee and treats for all the visitors in the school hall. Then our 6th class guides escorted grandparents to their grandchildren's classes and around the school itself.

Many had travelled long distances and the weather helped enormously by affording them access to our outdoor area at the back of the school to see the school hens and the outdoor play space.

We hope to see them all back again next year.
