Both fourth classes had a busy day recently, planting beans and lettuce in our polytunnel.

They learned the difference between germinating and growing and what a seed needs, before heading outside.

Now that spring has sprung, it is the time to get outside and start to prepare for the growing season. The pupils also learned how to take hardwood cuttings and plant them in the ground. We hope that they will take root for next year and make new trees for our mini woodland.
