We were lucky at our June assembly to say goodbye to Noel Hussey, who has driven Derek Bowhan's bus coach on a school route to Slane National School since 2013. We were also fortunate to have his wife, Olive, present at the event.The pupils who travel on his bus say that he is always very kind but he does sometimes have to tell them to sit in their seats!Since Noel started the route he has shaved about 30 minutes off it and is a very good timekeeper, which is a great trait for a bus driver.He has also driven pupils to many school events during the school day over the years and has been known and loved by many children and school staff.We wish him well in his retirement.
