Our 6th class pupils had their final day in St. Patrick's N.S. on Tuesday the 25th of June. Family members, staff and the pupils all gathered in the school hall for their graduation ceremony. The current 6th class have been an exceptional class group. They are known throughout the school as having been very kind, supportive and responsible both in their own class and in their dealings with others all around the school.Among other things, they have recently run the school hen company, mentored infant pupils on yard, co-ordinated GAA leagues for younger classes and co-ordinated the delivery of hot meals to all classes. The class also recently presented projects at Microsoft headquarters in Dublin, with one group winning a future STEM leaders award. The school is also indebted to all the parents who have worked together with us for the last eight years. For some parents, it is their last link with primary school, which made the event all the more poignant. The good news for the class is that they had an event in the Slane GAA clubhouse in the evening after the graduation ceremony to finish off their celebrations! We offer the pupils every good wish in the next step in their lives as they begin secondary school in September.
