Fourth class were out at the front of the school this week sketching wildflowers, as a follow up to our pollination workshops. We have created a large no mow May wildflower area and their task was to sketch one or a number of wildflowers. It was a very quiet lesson!

Another Slane National School Parent’s Association 5K took place on Sunday the 26th of May, 2024. The rain gods held off, the organisation was excellent and the 5K trail course was immaculate. What more could participants have asked for (apart from flattening the hill up to the woods in kilometre 3)? Sixth class pupils chose to reinvest their profit from the egg business last year in a set of novels for their class. They chose some really catchy titles and should keep them busy for the rest of this year.
