4th classes had a field trip to our local St. Erc’s graveyard as part of our SESE theme this month “What lies beneath?”. Pupils were in full “working as an historian” mode on a cold but dry day. They had a number of tasks to complete as part of the trip and learned a lot about what is below as well as above the ground in our locality.

4th classes were making sustainable Christmas decorations this year from natural materials. They used cut willow branches as discs to paint on and attached pebbles on the front of each. Finally, brown garden twine was used to hang the decorations up. They were very creative!

Pupils from 3rd to 5th class have been taking part in a lunch time gaelic football league for the last number of weeks. The purpose of the league is to have fun and to develop skills. The rules are different so points can also be earned for proper pick ups (boys), tackles and blocks as well as points and goals.
