Pupils from St. Patrick’s N.S., accompanied by Ms. McCabe, Mrs. Goulding and Mr. Ó Braonáin, travelled to Claremont stadium in Navan for the annual track and field event earlier this month. St. Patrick’s National School boys’ GAA team took part in a very successfully run GAA blitz in Simonstown GAA club last week. The format was a nine a side competition with two groups of five teams. The team performed very well with wins against Bohermeen N.S., Mercy Primary School, Wilkinstown N.S. and St. Stephen’s N.S., Johnstown, which put them through to a final against Boyerstown N.S. 6th class pupils were invited to Microsoft head office recently to showcase projects following their participation in the Microsoft Dream Space Academy education programme. The programme introduces STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) at primary level in a creative, fun and collaborative way. The schools programme in County Meath began when Meath County Council teamed up with Microsoft.
