Our junior and senior infants were very lucky to have a visit from author Áine Murray this week.
Áine read her book “The Pain In My Chest”. Through this rhyming tale, a girl goes through a series of stressful situations. She wants to try out for the school play and make a new friend at dance camp – but the pain in her chest always gets in her way. She finally opens up to her Mum who explains the pain in her chest is called ‘anxiety’. With her Mum’s understanding and support, she slowly cures the pain in her chest.
Many thanks to Ms. McCabe, who arranged the visit and to Áine for making the time to read and discuss the story with the children.
